BioSafra

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026. Applies to the BioSafra app (Android and iOS) and to biosafra.agr.br.

The short version. BioSafra has no sign up, no login, no ads, sells no data and uses no third party advertising or tracking SDK. Your saved game stays on your device and never leaves it. What does exist is a visit counter running on my own server, so I can tell how many people opened the game and for how long they played.

1. Who is responsible

Julio Lemos, an individual developer, is the controller. For any privacy matter, including deletion requests: juliolemosdf@gmail.com.

2. What stays on your device and never leaves it

All game progress (farm, fields, soil, machinery, cash, season history) is written to the local storage of the app or browser. That data is never uploaded, never synced to a cloud and is not accessible to me. Uninstalling the app or clearing browser data destroys the save, because no copy exists anywhere else.

The game requests no access to contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone, GPS or any other device permission.

3. What is collected when you open the game

When you open the app or the website, three short messages are sent to BioSafra's own server: one when you open it, one every fifteen seconds while the screen is visible, and one when you leave. They carry:

DataPurpose
IP addressCounting distinct visitors and estimating which regions the audience comes from. See section 4.
Device and browser identification (user agent)Knowing whether the game runs on a phone, tablet or desktop, so testing can be prioritised.
Screen size, language and time zoneUnderstanding which screen formats the game actually runs on.
Referrer and requested pathKnowing how people arrive.
Platform (website or app)Separating browser usage from app usage.
Time spent and whether the farm was interacted withTelling a quick look apart from an actual play session.

No name, email, phone number, government id, contact, photo or any content from your game is sent. The visitor identifier is a cryptographic digest derived from IP and user agent, using a secret salt kept only on the server. It exists so the same person is not counted twice and it cannot be used to identify who you are.

4. Approximate location

To learn which states and cities the audience comes from, the server looks each IP address up once in an external IP geolocation service (ip-api.com), which returns country, region, city and internet provider. That is the only moment any data leaves my server, and all that leaves is the IP address.

This location is approximate, at city level, and derived from the IP address. The game does not use device GPS and never requests location permission.

5. What does not exist here

6. Where data lives and for how long

Access records are stored in a database on a server under my control and are used only by me, to follow how the game is used. Individual access records are deleted after 12 months. After that only aggregate counts remain, such as total visits per month, which refer to no individual.

7. Legal basis and your rights

The processing described above relies on the legitimate interest of measuring usage of a free game, under article 7, item IX, of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018), and is limited to the minimum necessary for that purpose. Where the GDPR applies, the equivalent basis is legitimate interest under article 6(1)(f).

You may request at any time, without justification: confirmation that processing exists, access, correction, anonymisation, portability, erasure and information about sharing. Write to juliolemosdf@gmail.com. Requests are answered within 15 days. To locate your record, include the approximate date and time you played.

You can also simply block the measurement: the game runs entirely offline once opened, so airplane mode or denying the app internet access does not disable any part of gameplay.

8. Children

BioSafra is an agronomy simulator aimed at students, technicians, agronomists and farmers. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If a guardian identifies that a child's data was recorded, a deletion request sent to the address above is honoured immediately.

9. Security

Traffic between the app, the website and the server is encrypted with HTTPS. The statistics dashboard is password protected and exposes no individual record without authentication.

10. Changes to this policy

If anything changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it and the new version applies from publication. Any material change to how data is collected will also be announced on the game's home page.
