BioSafra

Terms of Use

Last updated: July 26, 2026. Applies to the BioSafra app (Android and iOS) and to biosafra.agr.br.

The short version. BioSafra is free, carries no advertising and has no in app purchases. It is a simulation: the numbers come from public Brazilian agronomic research, but the game exists to teach and to entertain, not to decide the management of a real crop.

1. Acceptance

By installing, opening or using BioSafra you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app and uninstall it.

2. What BioSafra is

A farming simulator set in the Brazilian Cerrado, with one thousand hectares and a ten season campaign. The player analyses and corrects soil, chooses cultivar and plant population, builds a crop protection program, operates machinery, produces biological inputs and manages operating and investment credit. The agronomic model is calibrated against public sources such as IMEA, Aprosoja, Conab, CNA and Embrapa's cooperative trial network.

3. Licence

You receive a personal, free, non exclusive and non transferable licence to use BioSafra on your devices, for personal or educational purposes. You may not sell the app, charge for it, redistribute a modified version, remove identifying marks, or attempt to extract the code to build a derivative product.

Classroom, technical training and field day use is allowed and encouraged, provided it is free for the audience and BioSafra is credited.

4. Agronomic disclaimer, and this is the important one

BioSafra is a simulation for education and entertainment. Values for yield, cost, product efficacy, dose, application window, resistance and soil response are simplifications calibrated to work as a game.

Nothing inside the game is technical advice. No field decision should be based on it: dose, product, mode of action, timing, soil correction, plant population, cultivar choice and season financial planning require real soil analysis, a formal agronomic prescription and a licensed professional. The developer is not liable for any loss arising from decisions taken based on the game.

Microorganism names, FRAC and IRAC groups and active ingredients appear in a technical and educational sense. Mentioning them is not a use recommendation, does not replace the product label and does not endorse any commercial product.

5. Third party marks

Names of institutions, manufacturers and products that may be cited belong to their respective owners and appear only as technical reference. BioSafra has no affiliation with, sponsorship from or endorsement by any of these organisations.

6. Your progress

The save exists only on your device. There is no account, no cloud and no backup on my side. Changing devices, uninstalling the app or clearing browser data erases the progress, and it cannot be recovered.

7. Free of charge and ad free

BioSafra is free and, in this version, shows no advertising and sells nothing inside the app. Should that change in a future version, the change will be announced on this page and on the store listing before it takes effect.

8. Availability and changes

The game is offered as is. I may update it, change game rules, recalibrate numbers, fix defects or discontinue the app at any time. Updates may change balance and, in rare cases, make an old save incompatible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Brazilian law, BioSafra is provided without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, continuous availability or absence of defects. The developer is not liable for lost progress, lost profits, indirect damages or any loss arising from the use or inability to use the app. Nothing here removes rights granted to you by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.

10. Privacy

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of the user's domicile are elected to settle any dispute.
